Where to Stay

There are plenty of lovely places to stay in and around Malcesine; ranging from quaint budget B&Bs to top end hotels and apartments with stunning views of the lake. So there should be something to suit every budget.

As we’re having the ceremony and reception within about 5 mins walk of each other (both pretty much in the centre of the old town), it may be sensible to stay nearby also, so you’re not doing much travelling on the day.

We booked our hotel through booking.com (http://www.booking.com/city/it/malcesine.en-gb.html) and found there were some good deals to be had on there. The bonus with that site is most bookings are only paid for on arrival/departure.

Note: One thing we would say to check when booking is the location of the hotel on a map. Some will say Malcesine as the location, but you could be a few miles outside of the town itself. There are plenty in the town, so we’d aim for those 🙂

Hotels within walking distance of the castle

Below is a selection of a few hotels we found nearby the town and castle. There are plenty of other ones too of course, so we recommend having a bit of a search around on the usual booking sites (see bottom of page).

Hotel Modena (http://www.hotelmalcesine.com) – A few people have already booked in here. We walked past it when we visited in early May and it looks great and is well located in the centre of the old town. Beautiful cobbled streets and bars and restaurants surround it!
